G.O. Whitten, LLC provides personal construction consulting and management services for large residential projects and private estates. The principal, Geoffrey O. Whitten, has over 30 years experience in the construction industry, including several years as the Owner's Representative on one of the most significant private residences constructed during the 1990's. In 1998, upon completion of that project, Geoffrey Whitten started his own company to work with owners involved in large projects, primarily in the Pacific Northwest. He has spent the last 12 years on major residential projects in the Pacific Northwest and Santa Fe, New Mexico. All of our services are tailored to the individual client's specific requirements for their projects.

Construction Consulting Services Provided

G.O. Whitten, LLC can provide the following Construction Consulting Services at our client's request:

Architectural Advisement

  • Setup and review the architecture program with Owner.
  • Architect selection and contract review and negotiations.
  • Program and functionality review with Owner and Architect during the design phases.
  • Consultant selection and negotiations with Architect.
  • Work with Interior Architects/Designers on interior finishes and furnishings.

Construction Advisement

  • Contractor selection and contract review and negotiations.
  • Subcontractor/supplier/vendor selection and negotiations.
  • Construction Budget setup and review with Contractor.
  • Construction Schedule setup and review with Contractor.

Administrative Services

  • Invoice review of monthly billings by Contractors, suppliers, Architect, and consultants for payment.
  • Project Schedule setup, review, and monitoring with Architect (for design progress) and Contractor (for construction progress).
  • Monthly Budget and Schedule Review and project status reports.
  • Value Engineering review of alternate designs and construction means with Architect and Contractor.
  • Selection and management of specialty contractors and consultants.

Miscellaneous Services

  • Work with Architect and Contractor on permitting issues.
  • Liaison with local authorities on the Owner's behalf.
  • Neighborhood/community liaison on the Owner's behalf.
  • Work with the Architect and Contractor to prepare an implement a sensible and workable Mitigation Plan.

 

G.O. Whitten, LLC and all of its associates will regard your Project and the Owners' interests in the strictest confidentiality. It is expressly understood that any agreement with G.O. Whitten, LLC can be terminated at the convenience of either party.
